Safe Environment

Our Mother Earth is currently facing lot of environmental concerns.

The environmental problems like global warming, acid rain, air pollution, urban sprawl, waste disposal, ozone layer depletion, water pollution, climate change and many more affect every human, animal and nation on this planet.

Over the last few decades, the exploitation of our planet and degradation of our environment have gone up at an alarming rate. As human actions have been not in favor of protecting this planet, we have seen natural disasters striking us more often.

Climate change affects everyone and the ramifications are visible by the variation in temperatures and an increase of intense natural disasters. It contributes to even broader problems like rising sea levels and loss of biodiversity in our food systems. What’s more, the negative impacts are likely to affect those who are already the most vulnerable.

Inter-Rural Action Network hosts a working group for organizations working in the areas of environment. The group meets every 2 months to share ideas, challenges and to come with sustainable strategies for the environmental conservation. In addition, the organisations work together to plan and implementationjoint intervention for environmental sustainability.

Our strategies are:

  •  Collective Advocacy: We advance for the collective efforts in the protection other Environment and we believe that it is a crucial role in educating people as to how their small actions when combined together can play a big role in in protecting this planet.
  •  Trainings and Disseminations of Information: By educating people on the causes and effects of Environmental injustices, we can work together to undo the damage humans have caused. The working group constantly train Local leaders, religious leaders, schools, women and youth groups on the dangers of environmental abuses and how we can come out of it. Trainings are held to members on a quarterly basis who replicate to their own communities.
  •  Collective Action: We need to plants and trees to survive. They provide oxygen, food, water and medicine for everyone, all over the globe. But if deforestation continues at the rate it’s occurring, we won’t have much of the valuable forestry left. We advocate for reforestations and afforestation to mitigate these problems.
